Job description

About Atlantic-Pacific Capital:

Since its founding in 1995, Atlantic-Pacific Capital has organically grown into a global private capital advisory firm with an established brand in the private equity community. Over 31 years, the firm has executed more than 180 capital raising assignments aggregating over $123 billion for an extraordinary group of alternative asset managers. Typical mandates include private equity, private credit, real estate and real assets fund placements as well as secondary advisory mandates and direct private placements.

Atlantic-Pacific Capital provides global marketing distribution and project management execution using a focused and customized approach. With experienced professionals located in New York, Stamford, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Juan, London, Barcelona, Dubai and Hong Kong, Atlantic-Pacific maintains a global network of trusted relationships with influential institutional investors.

Atlantic-Pacific Capital operates as a boutique: deal teams are small, client relationships are direct, and the pace is entrepreneurial. Successful candidates will find themselves with meaningful responsibility from day one.

Role Overview:

Our Analyst and Associate, Capital Solutions roles offer direct involvement in originating and executing transactions across secondary advisory mandates – including GP-led processes and LP portfolio sales – and capital raises for direct investments. Analysts and Associates are active members of small deal teams, taking on meaningful responsibility across all phases of the transaction lifecycle, from initial mandate evaluation through investor engagement and transaction closing, across several concurrent assignments within the firm’s Capital Solutions group.

Key Responsibilities:

This individual will be an integral member of a deal team to execute on all aspects of the financial advisory and capital-raising process, including:

  • Performing due diligence and evaluating prospective capital-raising opportunities across a range of transaction types, including GP-led secondary processes (i.e., continuation vehicles, fund recapitalizations, tender offers, and strip sales), LP portfolio sales, and direct investment mandates such as co-investments and structured equity transactions
  • Preparing transaction marketing materials including confidential information memorandums, investor presentations, teasers, and prospective business pitches that clearly communicate the investment thesis and transaction rationale
  • Building and sensitizing transaction financial models, including company and fund-level projections and return scenarios, and investor-facing summaries that support pricing and structuring decisions across both secondary and direct investment mandates
  • Coordinating investor engagement across active mandates, including tracking outreach progress, synthesizing investor feedback, and managing the flow of diligence materials and information requests through transaction closing
  • Contributing to new business evaluation by conducting preliminary research on prospective mandates, assessing transaction fit, and helping prepare materials for internal screening/due diligence and introductory client conversations
  • Working collaboratively across the firm’s Capital Solutions, Primary Fund Placement, and Distribution teams to ensure seamless execution and consistent client communication across all active mandates
Qualifications:
  • 1-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, secondary advisory, fund placement, or a related field; direct exposure to GP-led secondary transactions, direct private placements, or private fund advisory is a plus; prior experience at a placement agent, investment bank, limited partner, or consulting firm is preferred
  • Creativity and interest in problem solving
  • Well-rounded thinker, with both quantitative and qualitative skill sets (including extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience with AI tools such as Claude a plus)
  • Working knowledge of the private equity industry, including fund structures, the secondaries market, and the capital-raising process for alternative asset managers across both GP-led transactions and direct investment strategies
  • Strong technical abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong communications skills, personable and proactive
  • A considerate and adaptable team member who can build positive relationships internally and externally
  • Comfortable taking ownership of discrete workstreams and driving them forward with limited oversight, while remaining closely integrated with a small, collaborative deal team
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent mandates, prioritize effectively across competing demands, and consistently deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • Understanding of and commitment to regulatory and ethical standards applicable to a registered broker dealer
  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
Compensation:

Atlantic-Pacific Capital offers a competitive total compensation package, including:

  • Base salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based annual bonus
  • Quarterly operating profit participation
  • Expected Base Salary Range of $100,000-150,000
