Job summary

PHINIA Inc. in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an Analyst, Accounting and Reporting to own monthly and quarterly accounting for stock-based compensation, lease accounting, equity investments, and related disclosures.

This hybrid role requires on-site presence at PHINIA's World Headquarters three days a week. You will prepare journal entries, footnotes, reconciliations, and external reporting material, with CPA eligibility and a CPA or MBA a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
• CPA or CPA eligible required; MBA a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good organizational skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment; highly driven / self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting for stock-based compensation and earnings per share.
• Handle lease accounting, equity investments, journal entries, footnotes, and reconciliations.
• Support quarter-end financial reporting disclosures and external materials.
• Assist in consolidation processes and ad-hoc reporting.

JOB PURPOSE

The Analyst, Accounting and Reporting will be responsible for the monthly and quarterly accounting for stock-based compensation, lease accounting, equity investments, and assisting with various projects as needed. This role will also be responsible for quarter-end reporting deliverables. This role will report to the Manager, Consolidations. Note: This position is hybrid and the candidate will be expected to be on site at PHINIA's World Headquarters in Auburn Hills 3 days per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare accounting for stock-based compensation, earnings per share, lease accounting, equity investments and other areas as needed, including journal entries, footnotes, reconciliations, and executive reporting. Support quarter-end financial reporting disclosures, including but not limited to the external press release, external earnings call deck and script. Support the consolidations process as needed. Assist in various projects and preparation of ad-hoc reports.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in public accounting CPA or CPA eligible required MBA a plus SEC Reporting experience preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good organizational skills Must be able to work in a team environment Highly driven / self-starter
