Job summary

Astrion invites applications for an Analyst III position at the Redstone Test Center, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. The role emphasizes financial management across funded programs and overhead functions within the ECC Test Division.

The candidate will monitor funds, provide allocations, and generate burn-rate analyses while coordinating with test engineers and contract leads. A Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, science or business discipline from an accredited college/university with 6 years of relevant experience; or an Associate's degree with 8 years of experience; or 10 years in the field; or military training with equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of experience analyzing financial data and business processes to improve efficiency and produce reports.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction and attention to detail; supports process improvements.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, OneNote, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to work independently.
• U.S. citizenship required; DoD/DoW Secret Security Clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage holistic financial management for funded programs and overheads within the ECC Test Division.
• Provide funding allocation notifications to test engineers and contract leads.
• Track funds and burn rates, and report on status of cost estimates and material purchases.
• Support weekly financial submissions and ensure accuracy to prevent overages or mischarges.
• Track expiring funds and request extensions as needed.
• Monitor direct and overhead labor and material expenses for weekly status reports.
• Assist operations within the ECC Test Division as required, including overtime and TDY tracking.

Required qualifications / skills

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a technical, science or business discipline from an accredited\* college/university and 6 years of experience in one of the following areas, as related to the respective job required: Communication, Logistics, Operations, Finance, Personnel/Human Resource Management, Program Management, Process Improvement, Safety, Security, and Environmental specialties; or an Associate\'s Degree and 8 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; or 10 years of experience performing the job duties in the assigned specialty area; or 10 years of military training in the specialty area, or a combination thereof, may be substituted for the education requirements.


• 4 years of the required experience must include experience analyzing financial and other data, gathering and analyzing information regarding systems and/or procedures to provide recommendations for improving efficiency, analyzing and reporting business activity and compiling statistical reports.


• Must have a commitment to customer satisfaction including attention to detail – as well as supportive of process improvements.


• Must be a proficient user of MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, One Note, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.


• Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handlemultipleprojects at once


• Superb verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Serve by performing holistic financial management of all directly funded programs and overhead functions executed by the ECC Test Division.


• Provide funding allocation notifications to test engineers and contract leads for their use in planning test execution and support reallocation requests.


• Monitor execution of customer funds based upon test-engineer provided test schedules and present feedback on burn rates vs. percent completion.


• Track the status of open cost estimate requests and open material purchase requests within the Division.


• Report on the funding levels compared to the submitted cost proposals.


• Support weekly CIMS file process by reviewing submissions for the entire Directorate to ensure accuracy to prevent/correct overages, and/or other charge errors.


• Track expiring funds, to include requesting fund extensions.


• Track direct and overhead labor and material expenses for weekly Division financial status reports to the Division Chief.


• When required, perform duties for operations within the ECC Test Division to include status tracking of overtime, TDY, and other tasks.
