Job summary

BCS Allegient in Washington, DC has an immediate opening for a Budget Analyst to support the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in budget execution and internal controls reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial data and assisting with documentation of internal office processes.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related disciplines, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of SharePoint are mandatory, with a salary range of $60-$85k depending on qualifications. Exceptional organisational skills are also essential.

Job description

BCS Allegient has a 35-year history of helping government, research, and private sector clients implement their programs and missions to achieve success. We offer a breadth of professional support services in the areas of business management, communications, systems engineering, analysis, mission execution, and organization performance.

BCS Allegient has an immediate opening for a Budget Analyst to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER). The Budget Analyst will support a DOE contract by providing comprehensive budget execution, formulation, management, and internal controls reporting. The successful candidate will assist with documenting internal office processes and procedures, tracking and reporting funds, and maintaining financial data. This position plays a key role in supporting CESER mission critical activities.

The candidate must be able to work on-site at DOE HQ (1000 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20585).

Salary Range: $60-$85k depending on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of COGNOS (or similar) based report development tools
