Within MIS, the US Public Finance Group (PFG) is responsible for the fundamental credit analysis that underpins the monitoring of existing debt ratings and the assignment of new debt ratings for both public and private sector issuers in the municipal finance arena.
The Analyst will manage a portfolio of diverse higher education and nonprofit organizations. This is an opportunity for someone with strong credit and analytic competence and good communication abilities who enjoys engaging with a broad variety of financial market participants, both internally and externally.
What You Will Do In This Role
This is a challenging role where you will be responsible for ensuring ratings accuracy and providing insightful credit analysis. This opportunity involves developing/maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the relevant sectors and issuers. You will articulate robust credit views to the company and the broader marketplace. Your credit research and targeted market outreach will enhance Moody’s relevance and expand our brand and reputation as a trusted source of credit insight.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$134,400 - [[$194,850, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
