Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Combat System Technician in the USA VA Dam Neck area to repair and analyze AN/SQQ-89(V) SONAR equipment in FCAs. You will be the SME for all SONAR combat system gear, including legacy systems and AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 variants.

Requirements include 7+ years of related experience, an active Secret clearance, and an Associate’s degree or equivalent. You will perform fault analysis, testing, and corrective actions; travel is limited and the role is onsite, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Experience repairing AN/SQQ-89(V) SONAR equipment and familiarity with AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 SONAR equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts repair and failure analysis on AN/SQQ-89(V) SONAR equipment in Fleet Concentration Areas (FCAs).
• Subject Matter Expert with all AN/SQQ-89(V) SONAR combat system equipment. Familiar with legacy SONAR and modern AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 SONAR equipment.
• Analyzes failures and faults and provides corrective solutions required in order to implement equipment repair.
• Conducts testing and restoration activities as required.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $34.00 - $46.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
