Job summary

Decision Technologies, Inc. in Virginia Beach seeks an AN/SPS-49 Radar Technician to provide maintenance, troubleshooting, fleet support, and installation services. An active Secret clearance is required. You will document maintenance results and support shipboard CASREPs and technical assistance requests.

Responsibilities include engineering support for radar upgrades, documentation updates, IETMs, MRCs, ICDs, and installing field changes per Navy processes. Travel >20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret clearance.
• US Navy NEC or equivalent radar repair experience.
• Experience supporting government customers, ideally within the US Navy or Naval enterprise.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering efforts related to design, testing and analysis of AN/SPS-49 radar upgrades or modifications
• Support technical documentation upgrades or modifications required as a result of system improvements or Fleet feedback reports
• Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)
• Maintenance Requirements Cards (MRCs)
• Operator's Manuals
• Installation Control Drawings (ICDs)
• Install Field Changes in accordance with Navy shipboard installation processes
• Assist in the development of Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) and Ship Alteration Records (SAR), which reflect system installation plans and configurations
• Prepare lab and classrooms spaces in support of radar upgrades (new acquisition and legacy systems) and modifications
• Act as liaison with Regional Maintenance Centers to ensure proper processing of installation data and schedule requirements necessary for the unimpeded check-in processing of Alteration Installation Teams (AITs)
• Provide technical expertise to assist with shipboard installations and perform post-installation System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) and On-the-Job Training (OJT)

Decision Technologies seeks a qualified AN/SPS-49 Radar Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA.

Position Description:

The candidate will provide technical expertise for the maintenance, troubleshooting, fleet support, and installation of the AN/SPS-49 radar. He/she will document results of maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution actions and provide distance support and/or shipboard troubleshooting for fleet CASREPs and requests for technical assistance.

MUST HAVE an active Secret security clearance.
