Decision Technologies, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a qualified AN/SPS-49 Radar Technician to join our team. The role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, fleet support and installation of the AN/SPS-49 radar with documentation of results and remote/shipboard assistance.

Must have an active Secret security clearance and US Navy radar repair experience. Responsibilities include supporting radar upgrades, field changes, SIDs/SARs, and lab preparation for upgrades.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with DoW Secret clearance.
• US Navy NEC or equivalent radar repair experience.
• Experience supporting government customers, ideally within the US Navy or Naval enterprise.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support design, testing and analysis of AN/SPS-49 radar upgrades or modifications.
• Document maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution actions; provide fleet support.
• Install Field Changes in accordance with Navy shipboard processes.
• Assist in development of Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) and SARs.
• Prepare labs/classrooms spaces for radar upgrades and modifications.
• Coordinate with Regional Maintenance Centers to schedule installation data and AIT check-in.
• Provide technical expertise for shipboard installations and post-install verification testing.

Decision Technologies seeks a qualified AN/SPS-49 Radar Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA.

Position Description:

The candidate will provide technical expertise for the maintenance, troubleshooting, fleet support, and installation of the AN/SPS-49 radar. He/she will document results of maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution actions and provide distance support and/or shipboard troubleshooting for fleet CASREPs and requests for technical assistance.

MUST HAVE an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Support engineering efforts related to design, testing and analysis of AN/SPS-49 radar upgrades or modifications
• Support technical documentation upgrades or modifications required as a result of system improvements or Fleet feedback reports
• Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)
• Maintenance Requirements Cards (MRCs)
• Install Field Changes in accordance with Navy shipboard installation processes
• Assist in the development of Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) and Ship Alteration Records (SAR), which reflect system installation plans and configurations
• Prepare lab and classrooms spaces in support of radar upgrades (new acquisition and legacy systems) and modifications
• Act as liaison with Regional Maintenance Centers to ensure proper processing of installation data and schedule requirements necessary for the unimpeded check-in processing of Alteration Installation Teams (AITs)
• Provide technical expertise to assist with shipboard installations and perform post-installation System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) and On-the-Job Training (OJT)

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• U.S. Citizen with DoW Secret clearance.
• US Navy NEC or equivalent civilian radar repair experience.
• Experience supporting government customers, ideally within the US Navy or Naval enterprise.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
