Job summary
Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional projects for AMZL Start Up Execution in Minneapolis. You will manage lifecycle of complex initiatives, deliver new sortation and distribution solutions, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely handovers.
The role requires Bachelor's degree, CAD proficiency, and experience leading large-scale programs, with travel up to 80%.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through launch readiness and go-live phases.
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360).
- Experience leading large-scale programs/projects.
- 3+ years in project/engineering roles.
Responsibilities
- Manage lifecycle of cross-functional projects delivering on objectives.
- Lead execution of systems and automated equipment designs to standards.
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to set priorities and schedules.
- Document meetings, decisions and next steps for leadership alignment.
- Communicate status, risk, and mitigation plans clearly to stakeholders.
- Coordinate change orders, purchase orders, and invoice validation.
