Job summary

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation's Dorney Park is seeking a Full-Time Ride Mechanic to join the maintenance team. You will be trained and certified to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and rehabilitate amusement rides, working at heights up to 300 feet and across varied shifts.

This role requires 2–4 years mechanical experience, a PA driver’s license, and state ride inspector certification within a year. Benefits include paid vacation, health options, 401(k) match, and free park entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• State Ride Inspector Certification within one year (training provided).
• 2–4 years of mechanical experience, preferably in industrial, auto or amusement settings.
• Knowledge of gear ratios, torque and use of common hand tools.
• Ability to work safely at heights up to 300 feet and in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections of rides and related equipment, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance, repairs and tests on rides and equipment; replaces major components as required.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems with supervision and takes corrective actions.
• Maintains accurate records of inspections and work performed.
• Communicates ride status verbally and in writing; follows manuals for service and replacements.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in the work area and reports unsafe conditions.
