Job summary

Omron Robotics (ORT) seeks a Product Owner, Firmware & Navigation to own execution for onboard AMR software, firmware, and navigation across Omron’s portfolio. Role can be based at any Omron Robotics location in the Americas or Europe.

You will lead backlog execution, translate requirements into user stories, and collaborate with global product managers, software architects, and engineers to ensure high‑quality releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience in software product ownership, embedded software, firmware, or technical product roles.
• Experience with Agile development teams focused on embedded or platform software.
• Familiarity with robotics systems, real‑time software, or safety‑critical development environments.
• U.S. export control eligibility as required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog for onboard firmware and navigation software.
• Translate system requirements and roadmap priorities into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day product interface for firmware and navigation development teams.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with the teams.
• Ensure alignment between firmware/navigation work and AMR programs and applications.
• Collaborate with Global Product Managers to align sprint outcomes with roadmap goals.
