Job summary

Corrocoat USA Inc is seeking a skilled AMPP/NACE Coating Inspector in Palatka, FL to join our team on industrial projects. The role focuses on quality, corrosion prevention, and adherence to coating standards.

You will inspect surfaces, record DFT/WFT, review procedures, and report NCRs, collaborating with project managers, applicators, and clients to ensure compliant coating systems.

Qualifications

• Active AMPP / NACE Coating Inspector Level 2 or Level 3 certification required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial protective coatings inspection.
• Proficiency with inspection instruments including DFT gauges, holiday detectors, and surface profile comparators.
• Strong knowledge of SSPC, NACE, and ISO surface preparation standards.
• Experience in industrial, marine, oil & gas, or water/wastewater environments preferred.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and varying environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform coating inspections in accordance with AMPP/NACE standards and project specs.
• Conduct surface preparation assessments including blast profile, cleanliness, and environmental condition checks.
• Monitor and document dry film thickness (DFT), wet film thickness (WFT), and holiday testing.
• Review and interpret coating application procedures, project specs, and material data sheets (MDS).
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, daily logs, and NCRs.
• Coordinate with project managers, applicators, and clients to ensure compliance with coating systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform coating inspections in accordance with AMPP/NACE standards and project specifications
• Conduct surface preparation assessments including blast profile, cleanliness, and environmental condition checks
• Monitor and document dry film thickness (DFT), wet film thickness (WFT), and holiday testing
• Review and interpret coating application procedures, project specs, and material data sheets (MDS)
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, daily logs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
• Coordinate with project managers, applicators, and clients to ensure compliance with coating systems
• Identify coating defects, failures, and recommend corrective actions to maintain quality standards

Requirements:

• Active AMPP / NACE Coating Inspector Level 2 or Level 3 certification required
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial protective coatings inspection
• Proficiency with inspection instruments including DFT gauges, holiday detectors, and surface profile comparators
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation standards (SSPC, NACE, ISO)
• Experience in industrial, marine, oil & gas, or water/wastewater environments preferred
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interaction
