Job summary

Corrocoat USA Inc is seeking a skilled AMPP/NACE Coating Inspector (Level 2 or 3) to join our Palatka, Florida team. This role focuses on protective coatings inspection on industrial projects, emphasizing quality and corrosion prevention.

You will conduct inspections per AMPP/NACE, assess surface preparation, monitor DFT/WFT and holiday tests, interpret specs, and produce detailed reports. Must be onsite in Palatka or willing to relocate.

Qualifications

• Active AMPP / NACE Coating Inspector Level 2 or Level 3 certification required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial protective coatings inspection.
• Proficiency with inspection instruments including DFT gauges, holiday detectors, and surface profile comparators.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation standards (SSPC, NACE, ISO).
• Experience in industrial, marine, oil & gas, or water/wastewater environments preferred.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
• Must be located in or willing to work in the Palatka, FL area.

• Coordinate with project managers, applicators, and clients to ensure compliance with coating systems
• Identify coating defects, failures, and recommend corrective actions to maintain quality standards
