Amphibious Warship Design Auxiliary Systems Engineering Manager

Join us to apply for the Amphibious Warship Design Auxiliary Systems Engineering Manager role at Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P).

R&P is seeking a U.S. Navy veteran with at least 12 years of experience in auxiliary ship systems, including damage control and firefighting, to join our team. We are a small defense contractor providing engineering, logistics, program management, and technical services to government clients. The position is based in Pascagoula, MS, with options for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Review Auxiliary Systems CDRLs for technical accuracy against ship specifications and sub-tier references.
• Serve as an integrator for auxiliary systems such as HVAC, CFW, CW, ASW, MSW, Firemain, Ballast/De-ballast, Potable Water, Deck Machinery, and Hotel Services.
• Support the Ship Design Manager (SDM) on all auxiliary technical areas.
• Review and revise requirements for fluid, hydraulic, steering, HVAC systems, refrigeration plants, and auxiliary equipment design.
• Review designs of auxiliary systems, including calculations, studies, and analyses.
• Provide technical support for research, design, development, testing, and manufacturing of mechanical, electrical, or weapon system components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine or Ocean Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of DoD/Navy program management, government technical management, or industry experience.
• Former Navy enlisted personnel or LDOs with at least 12 years of experience are eligible.
• Experience with applicable codes and standards such as ABS NVR, OSHA, and NFPA.
• 3+ years of experience with ship damage control, firefighting, and fire prevention systems is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
