Amphibious Warship Design Auxiliary Systems Engineering Manager

Join us to apply for the Amphibious Warship Design Auxiliary Systems Engineering Manager role at Reliability & Performance Technologies (R&P).

R&P is seeking a U.S. Navy veteran with at least 12 years of experience in auxiliary ship systems, including damage control and firefighting, who wants to join our team. We are a small defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management, and Technical Services to government clients. We need an engineer or engineering technician to serve as the Auxiliary Systems Engineering Manager on an Amphibious Warship Design team. This position is based in Pascagoula, MS, but remote work is possible.

• Review Auxiliary Systems CDRLs for technical accuracy against ship specifications and sub-tier references.
• Serve as an integrator for auxiliary systems such as HVAC, CFW, CW, ASW, MSW, Firemain, Ballast/De-ballast, Potable Water, Deck Machinery, and Hotel Services.
• Support the Ship Design Manager (SDM) on all auxiliary technical areas.
• Review and revise requirements for fluid systems, hydraulic systems, steering systems, HVAC systems, refrigeration plants, and other auxiliary equipment.
• Review designs of auxiliary systems, including calculations, studies, and analyses.
• Provide technical support for research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing of mechanical, electrical, or weapon system components.
• Bachelor's degree in Marine or Ocean Engineering with at least 10 years of DoD/Navy program management, government technical management, or industry experience.
• Former Navy enlisted personnel or LDOs with a minimum of 12 years of experience are eligible.
• Experience with codes and standards such as ABS NVR, OSHA, and NFPA is required.
• Experience with ship Damage Control, firefighting, and fire prevention systems is preferred.
• Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD Secret security clearance.
