Job summary

MANTECH in Portsmouth, VA seeks a motivated Amphibious Platform Engineer to join our Surface Maintenance Engineering, Planning, Program team onsite.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Port Engineers and engineering teams, validating CMP content, developing shipsheets, and supporting PPBE and budget processes for naval surface ships. Requires US citizenship and active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Naval Ships Experience.
• Maintenance and engineering planning experience with amphibious surface ships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (SharePoint, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Port Engineers and other stakeholders on maintenance and modernization.
• Validate CMP content and update cost estimates from analyses.
• Coordinate CMP processing activities and review requirements in CMP sources (JFMM, NSTM, Ship Specifications, manuals, drawings).
• Develop and brief maintenance documents and strategies for the maintenance team, up to SES/Flag level.
• Develop and deliver shipsheets supporting PPBE and review ship CSMP entries for requirements and budget impacts.
• Assist in developing Technical Foundation Papers detailing ship lifecycle maintenance requirements.
• Assist SURFMEPP and SEA 21 personnel with congressional and other inquiries.
• Support metrics development and recommendations for CMP and SURFMEPP processes.
• Maintain accuracy and accessibility of the Class Maintenance Plan and related databases.
