Job summary

Winchester is seeking dependable and safety-focused Ammunition Packers to support production operations at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant—the world's largest producer of small-caliber ammunition. As an Ammunition Packer, you will inspect, package, label, and prep ammunition for shipment while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work various shifts including overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Prior full-time work experience preferred; manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and push up to 100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work any shift, including overtime, up to 20 hours per week, per union contract.

Responsibilities

• Sort, clean, inspect, and separate ammunition and components in preparation for packaging and shipment.
• Operate bandoleer filling, stamping, and other packaging equipment while monitoring product quality throughout the process.
• Visually inspect ammunition and components, feeding materials into automated equipment to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Move raw materials, components, and finished ammunition using electric lift carts, two-wheel dollies, and other approved material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by performing routine housekeeping, following safety procedures, and assisting with basic equipment care.
