Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years' experience working in ammunition inventory and accountability.
  • US Citizen
  • 18 years of age
  • Driver's license required.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must complete Ammo 45, 67, 68, and 108 within 30 days of receiving CAC.
  • Must complete Ammo 62 within first year of assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Orders, receives, stores, maintains and issues supplies and equipment to support the daily operations.
  • Assists in ammunition accountability records.
  • Determines condition codes of Ammunition and Explosives.
  • Operates the MHP (Munitions History Program).
  • Assists in resolving inventory and/or system problems (Causative Research).
  • Performs inspections of conventional, unconventional, and foreign ammunition.
  • Performs DD Form 626 motor vehicle inspections for vehicles transporting hazardous materials.

Technica LLC seeks to fill an Ammunition Inspector (ASP) position to perform on a Government contract with a place of performance at McGregor Range, NM.

Position Responsibilities:

This position performs limited aspects of supply management work as it pertains to ammunition to include but, not limited to, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization, and inspections related to ammunition supply point activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management and ammunition surveillance operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty.

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Orders, receives, stores, maintains and issues supplies and equipment to support the daily operations.
  • Assists in ammunition accountability records.
  • Determines condition codes of Ammunition and Explosives.
  • Arranges the demilitarization of unserviceable ammunition.
  • Operates the MHP (Munitions History Program).
  • Assists in resolving inventory and/or system problems (Causative Research).
  • Generates magazine storage reports as directed or required.
  • Performance of a variety of routine and special inspections of conventional, unconventional, and foreign ammunition using a wide range of inspection processes and techniques in support of Stockpile Assessment as well as shipping and receiving operations.
  • Assists Quality Assurance Specialist (Ammunition Surveillance) in performing inspection work at all conventional ammunition workstations on wide variety of surveillance operations. This includes receipt, storage, renovation, modification, demilitarization, destruction and shipment of conventional/ nonconventional munitions.
  • Perform DD Form 626 motor vehicle inspections for vehicles transporting hazardous materials and surveillance of unit ammunition turn-ins.
  • Performs other duties as required. (This list is not all inclusive)

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous Military experience as MOS 89A, 55B, 89B, or 89D, (Army), 2W0X1 (Air Force), MOS A420 (Navy) or 2311 (Marine Corps).
  • Must complete Ammo 45, 67, 68, and 108 within 30 days of receiving CAC (Common Access Card).
  • Must complete Ammo 62 (Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials) within first year of assignment.
  • 3 years' experience working in ammunition inventory and accountability is required.
  • Driver's license required.
  • US Citizen
  • 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and background checks related to the position
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Must have a solid background experience and working knowledge performing in the Standard Army Ammunition Systems (SAAS) system
  • Must be knowledgeable and have ability to operate MHP.
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Must have high-level of organizational and planning skills.
  • Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated skill with all MS software to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must demonstrate a strong work ethic to accomplish work effectively and economically.
  • Must be competent in DA Pam 385-64, DA Pam 742-1, AR 190-11, and MIL-STD-129R.

Physical and Mental Requirements: (to be performed with or without accommodation)

  • Must be able to lift up to 49 LBS.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet
  • Must possess a forklift license or receive within the first 90 days of assignment.
