Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician for our Enterprise, AL operation. You’ll support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of ammonia refrigeration systems to help ensure safe, efficient production and food safety.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of ammonia refrigeration or industrial maintenance experience, with a strong mechanical troubleshooting ability and good documentation skills. Weekend/overtime flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with ammonia refrigeration or industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, inspect, and maintain refrigeration equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Identify equipment deficiencies and prepare work orders for repairs and actions.
• Maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) records and documentation.
• Complete required reports and records per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration system issues and assist corrective actions.
• Support safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Participate in preventative maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
