Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking Maintenance and Refrigeration Technicians to maintain ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment in our facilities. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and support safe, efficient operation under minimal supervision.

The role requires 3+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience, RETA Operator 1 certification, and the ability to work on the 3rd shift in our US operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience.
• Possession of RETA Operator 1 certification is required.
• RETA Operator 2/3 certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills and CMMS proficiency.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in variable temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for ammonia refrigeration, HCFC, hot water, compressed air and steam systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
• Understand boiler theory and refrigerations schematics; safety and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team training and activation as needed.
• Minimize downtime by proactive upkeep and coordination with plant personnel.
