Job summary

Tyson Foods, Waverly Plant, is seeking a Refrigeration Technician B on the night shift to operate ammonia refrigeration and chlorine systems with minimal supervision. You will maintain and repair refrigeration equipment, monitor ammonia systems, and ensure safe operation in a high-demand poultry processing environment.

The role requires 2+ years of ammonia refrigeration experience, strong electrical and mechanical skills, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Ammonia Refrigeration systems.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.
• Strong mechanical background required.
• Electrical experience required.
• Able to operate safely around moving machinery.

Responsibilities

• Installation and set-up of equipment as needed.
• Monitor and make necessary adjustments to refrigeration system and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment completing required documentation.
• Provide pass-down to following shift Technician.
• Assists experienced Technicians in troubleshooting of equipment and system, assisting with necessary repairs.
• Completes shift log book and other required paperwork.
• Assist within department as needed inclusive of assisting with waste-water duties.
• Other duties as assigned
