Job summary

John Soules Foods is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for the 3rd shift in Gainesville, GA. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair plant ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment to support safe, compliant food production.

The role requires RETA certification, industrial refrigeration experience, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and on-call shifts in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RETA Operator Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and components.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment and controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps and controls.
• Monitor pressures, temperatures, and oil levels for safe, efficient operation.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform corrective repairs promptly.
• Maintain logs and documentation of maintenance actions.
• Support energy efficiency and safety initiatives in refrigeration operations.
