Responsibilities
- Issue, track, inspect, and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Record tool distribution and returns, ensuring accountability.
- Generate and report lost or unreturned tools to leadership.
- Maintain control over damaged or broken tools and report accordingly.
- Implement and maintain tool inspection and safety programs.
- Ensure OSHA and workplace safety standards compliance.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, usage, and losses.
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing tools and materials as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on training equipment and calibrations.

Schedule: Thursday–Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (to support weekend program)
Compensation: $22-$25 per hour
The Tool Room Clerk plays a critical role in supporting a safe, organized, and effective learning environment within the lab/shop. This position is responsible for managing tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure students and faculty have what they need to succeed.
This is a highly hands‑on, detail‑oriented role where organization, accountability, and consistency are key. Success in this position means maintaining accurate tracking systems, ensuring safety compliance, and proactively managing inventory and equipment readiness.
- Issue, track, inspect, and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies
- Record tool distribution and returns, ensuring accountability
- Generate and report lost or unreturned tools to leadership

- Complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 3 years of experience using hand tools and equipment similar to an aircraft repair shop
- Experience working in a hands‑on, technical, or shop environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, word processing)
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
