Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Temporary Manager - AML Internal Audit within Risk Consulting to lead risk-based AML internal audits for large global banking clients. The role requires deep AML knowledge, internal audit methodology, and the ability to manage audits from planning through reporting and remediation testing.

You will coach junior staff, develop audit programs and RCMs, and present findings to senior stakeholders. RSM emphasizes a hybrid work model and a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of Internal Audit experience within a large financial institution, global bank, or consulting firm.
• 5+ years of direct AML Internal Audit experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently leading risk-based audits from planning through reporting and issue validation.
• Strong knowledge of Internal Audit methodology, workpaper standards, audit documentation requirements, sampling methodologies, and quality assurance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute AML Internal Audit engagements across large global banking organizations.
• Manage the full audit lifecycle, including risk assessment, planning, scoping, walkthroughs, test plan development, fieldwork, issue identification, reporting, and validation testing.
• Develop audit programs, risk and control matrices (RCMs), process narratives, testing strategies, and test scripts.
• Prepare comprehensive, well-supported workpapers that clearly document testing performed, evidence reviewed, results, and conclusions.
• Present results to senior stakeholders and effectively challenge management responses when appropriate.
• Review junior team members' work and provide coaching to ensure quality and consistency.
