Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a manager-level AML Internal Audit professional to lead risk-based audits for large global banks. The role requires planning, execution, and reporting through remediation testing, with strong knowledge of AML regulations and IA methodologies.

The ideal candidate will independently manage engagements, develop audit programs, and coordinate with Compliance, Risk Management, and Technology teams. RSM offers hybrid work and a broad total rewards approach.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Internal Audit experience in a large financial institution or consulting firm.
• 5+ years of direct AML Internal Audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of IA methodology, workpapers, sampling, and QA expectations.
• Ability to lead risk-based audits from planning through reporting and validation.
• Experience developing audit programs, RCMs, test scripts, and final reports.
• Deep knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, sanctions, and financial crimes controls.
• Excellent project, stakeholder, written communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute AML Internal Audit engagements across large global banks.
• Manage full audit lifecycle from risk assessment to remediation testing.
• Develop audit programs, RCMs, narratives, testing strategies, and scripts.
• Prepare workpapers with evidence, results, and conclusions.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of AML controls.
• Identify weaknesses and provide practical remediation recommendations.
• Draft observations and reports with root-cause analysis.
• Present results to senior stakeholders and challenge responses when needed.
• Perform issue validation and remediation testing for MRAs and consent orders.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk Management, and IT stakeholders.
• Review junior team members' work and provide coaching.
