Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Temporary Manager to lead AML Internal Audit engagements for large global banking clients. You will manage the full audit lifecycle, from planning to remediation testing, applying risk-based audit methods and documenting evidence to support conclusions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of Internal Audit experience in financial services, 5+ years AML IA, and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of Internal Audit experience within a large financial institution, global bank, or consulting firm.
• 5+ years of direct AML Internal Audit experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently leading risk-based audits from planning through reporting and issue validation.
• Strong knowledge of Internal Audit methodology, workpaper standards, audit documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute AML Internal Audit engagements across large global banking organizations.
• Manage the full audit lifecycle, including risk assessment, planning, scoping, walkthroughs, test plan development, fieldwork, issue identification, reporting, and validation testing.
• Apply risk-based audit methodology and testing approaches throughout engagements.
• Develop audit programs, risk and control matrices, process narratives, testing strategies, and test scripts.
• Prepare comprehensive workpapers documenting testing performed, evidence reviewed, results, and conclusions.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness related to AML and Financial Crimes risks.
• Identify control weaknesses and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
• Draft audit observations and reports with root-cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
