Job summary

Elm City Montessori School is seeking a Classroom Assistant to partner with the Classroom Guide in a full-time 10-month role, with required August Training. The ideal candidate will have an AMI Assistants Training Course completed within the first year, a High School diploma, and preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

Montessori experience and Spanish bilingual skills are highly valued. Responsibilities include supporting academic and social-emotional activities, preparing the classroom

Qualifications

• AMI Assistants Training Course within first year of employment
• High School diploma required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field preferred
• Trained in Montessori method and/or experience as an assistant in a public school setting
• Bilingual in Spanish with strong written and oral communication skills
• Kind, caring, compassionate, enthusiastic and well-organized
