Job summary

ESAB is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Denton, TX to assemble, test, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical components supporting manufacturing operations.

You will follow engineering drawings and work instructions, maintain quality and safety standards, and help drive continuous improvement on the production floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficiency with basic computer software (Word/Excel).
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and precision measuring devices preferred.
• Soldering and brazing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and inspect electro-mechanical products per drawings and instructions.
• Ensure assemblies meet ESAB quality standards and customer expectations.
• Follow assembly and testing instructions accurately.
• Perform drilling, crimping, screwing, deburring, tapping, and precision measuring.
• Maintain a clean, safe, 5S-compliant work area.
• Report defects and equipment issues to supervisor.
• Document activities using company record-keeping systems.
• Retrieve drawings from company systems as required.
• Complete tasks per production schedules and supervisor direction.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.

We're looking to hire a talented Electro-Mechanical Assembler based in Denton.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Electro-Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components that support manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products meet quality standards, production schedules, and engineering specifications while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Primary Duties

• Assemble, test, and inspect electro-mechanical products in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Ensure all assemblies meet ESAB quality standards and customer expectations.
• Follow assembly and testing instructions thoroughly and accurately.
• Perform assembly activities including drilling, crimping, screwing, deburring, tapping, and precision measuring.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles.
• Report defective materials, equipment issues, and questionable conditions to the department lead or supervisor.
• Document assembly, testing, and repair activities using established record-keeping systems.
• Retrieve and utilize drawings and documentation from company systems as required.
• Complete assigned tasks in accordance with production schedules and supervisory direction.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 2-5 years of related electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to understand, follow, and communicate verbal and written instructions.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and precision measuring devices preferred.
• Soldering and brazing experience preferred.

Working Conditions

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required while working on the production floor, including safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, and high-visibility clothing.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift, move, or position materials weighing up to 50 pounds and push or pull heavier items using approved assistive equipment.
• May occasionally be exposed to varying temperatures and noise levels typical of a manufacturing environment.
• May be assigned to a testing area located outside the production floor and exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Occasional overtime may be required to support business and production requirements.
