Job summary

Strategic Government Resources, Inc. seeks an AMI Analyst to ensure peak reliability of AMI and MDM systems, acting as a technical bridge between AMI and OMS, GIS, CIS, and SCADA.

You will train staff, coordinate across utility departments, and support data delivery while maintaining data integrity. You will also assist in budgeting for system upgrades, monitor meter read accuracy, and manage firmware deployments to ensure secure, efficient network operations.

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science or related technical field with 2 years experience or equivalent
• Valid Texas Driver License
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, GIS and data visualization tools
• Knowledge of database and data management principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Available for emergency response within 40 minutes of the Utility Service Center

Responsibilities

• Train AMI metering staff in installation, operation, tracking, maintenance, and testing of AMI metering equipment.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to optimize system performance and resolve issues with SCADA and AMI teams.
• Assist in budget proposals for AMI system enhancements and upgrades.
• Oversee meter read accuracy and data integrity by billing cycle close.
• Track installation, removal, and retirement of AMI equipment for asset inventory.
• Collaborate with Engineers, SCADA, GIS, and management to leverage AMI data for improvements.
• Perform system administration for AMI, MDM, and field programming platforms and firmware upgrades.
• Act as AMI Supervisor in their absence.
