Job summary

Language Services Associates is seeking Amharic interpreters in the Media, PA area. As a member of LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you will facilitate language communication for the LEP community across diverse settings with ongoing opportunities for a wide range of assignments.

Interpreters provide superior customer service, adhere to professional conduct and confidentiality, follow policies and industry best practices, meet client clearance requirements, report on site

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Amharic.
• Ability to provide high-level client service.
• 1+ year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients.
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including confidentiality.
• Adhere to policies and interpretation protocols and best practices.
• Adhere to client clearance requirements for assignments.
• Report on site to accepted assignments in a timely manner.
• Access to personal or public transport to reach assignments.
