CDL Class A Bulk Tanker Driver

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, the nation's leading single-source supplier of gases, welding and safety products, is seeking Liquid Bulk Tanker Drivers.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Promote and comply with Air Liquide Safety Policies and Operating Procedures
2. Use required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
3. Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (tractor-trailer) to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases safely, accurately, and courteously
4. Report accidents, safety issues, citations, and customer complaints immediately to supervisor
5. Comply with all policies and regulations, including federal, state, and local laws
6. Perform pre & post trip inspections and operate equipment per guidelines
7. Complete reports as required by DOT and company policies
8. Utilize On Board Computer accurately and exercise care with safety devices
9. Maintain professional appearance and wear full uniform

Accountabilities:

Safety: Zero vehicle accidents/injuries, attend safety training and meetings, comply with safety policies and DOT regulations

Customer Satisfaction: Report to work as scheduled, be courteous, ensure accurate delivery tickets

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• HS Diploma or GED preferred
• One or more years of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must have all applicable Haz-Mat endorsements
• Knowledge of cryogenic, compressed, and specialty gases preferred
• Valid Class A CDL for state of domicile
• Successful DOT regulations and road tests
• Computer skills or ability to improve

Physical Requirements:

• Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and Physical Ability Testing
• Lift up to 60 pounds, manual dexterity for controls and valves
• Work in various environments, exposed to weather, noise, vibrations
• Frequent walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, standing, grasping, climbing, kneeling, crouching
• Sitting for extended periods
• Operate vehicles, machinery, hand tools
