Job summary

City Relief is seeking a part-time AmeriCorps Aide for the NJ Programs Team in Paterson, NJ. The role supports Outreach, Volunteer Department, Guest Services, and Warehouse teams to meet the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.

The aide will strengthen volunteer systems, improve service delivery, and develop tools/documentation to boost operational effectiveness while learning warehouse operations and inventory management. Training and stipends are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in community outreach events serving individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
• Conduct outreach to raise awareness of resources and provide referrals; help improve volunteer onboarding materials.
• Learn warehouse operations, safety standards, and stock management.
• Track inventory and analyze trends; collaborate with staff.
• Attend AmeriCorps training and team meetings.
