Job summary

AXA XL in the Americas seeks a strategic Head of Middle Market who will own the P&L and lead the underwriting unit. You will partner with the CEO Americas and Global Underwriting to set the segment strategy and drive profitable growth across property, casualty, and specialty lines.

You will align brokers, clients, and internal leaders, build market assets, and implement governance, risk, and transformation initiatives to deliver superior client service and sustainable results.

• Experience leading underwriting teams in the Middle Market segment.
• Proven ability to set and execute strategic plans to drive profitable growth.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a profitable growth strategy for the Middle Market segment.
• Lead the Middle Market Underwriting unit and drive risk-adjusted performance.
• Establish governance, cost controls, and transformation initiatives across the function.
• Align with brokers and clients to increase production and profitability.
• Represent AXA XL in industry forums and build external relationships.
