Job summary

Global Commodities is seeking an Associate in Americas Sales and Marketing to support the institutional sales team covering Americas clients in the commodities complex. You will assist with day-to-day trading activities, coverage, and content distribution while focusing on investor products and index offerings.

The role aims to grow into managing a personal book of business and becoming the primary contact for assigned clients in a fast-paced, market-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Existing Commodities experience, product knowledge and established client contacts in the commodities client community.
• Impeccable integrity, a strong work ethic, solid analytical skills and a genuine interest in commodity markets.
• Strong knowledge of the commodities environment, analytical skills, ability to execute with skill and urgency, deep knowledge of derivatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Interest in the commodities and macro markets.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the desk’s day-to-day activities including account coverage, execution and content distribution as well as strategic planning and business organization
• Assist the team in covering a broad mandate of commodity responsibilities, with a particular focus on promoting the bank’s index/QIS offering.
• Provide commodities coverage to institutional accounts and assist in strengthening the bank's presence with institutional clients in the commodity markets in both a flow and structured environment
• Contribute to building a strong presence which challenges the existing competitors in the market place
• Support other parts of the firm in their commodities marketing efforts
• Become “first call” for client’s commodities needs
