Job summary

Idex is seeking a General Manager for the Americas based in New Haven, CT. This role holds full P&L responsibility for roughly $20M–$100M in annual revenue and leads all sales, business development, and customer engagement across North and South America.

The GM drives profitable growth, oversees strategy, manufacturing operations, and a high-performing leadership team while ensuring safety, compliance, and cross-functional alignment with enterprise objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Progressive leadership experience in industrial, engineered products, or related business.
• Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into operational and commercial execution.
• Experience leading a P&L with significant revenue (roughly $20M–$100M).

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue growth, profitability, cash flow, and operating plan commitments.
• Develop and execute annual operating plans and multi-year strategies.
• Translate priorities into actionable initiatives delivering financial results.
• Direct manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Lead SIOP and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply 80/20 principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Build customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Align commitments with capabilities to ensure execution.
• Recruit and develop a high-performing leadership team.
• Foster accountability and continuous improvement across the org.
• Champion safety and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as primary leader, aligning with employees and enterprise leadership.
