UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ is seeking an American Sign Language (ASL) – English interpreter to support deaf students by interpreting between English and ASL in classroom settings, meetings, and events.
The position requires an Associate’s degree and national RID certification, with experience serving a diverse student population preferred. This is a part-time, on-site role with potential for travel to campus events.

The interpreter will interpret English to ASL and interpret ASL to English for deaf students.
Interpret ASL to English and English to ASL for deaf students during class, for meetings with professors and other faculty/staff members, at college events and as needed for situations at UCNJ Union College of Union County, NJ.
Associate’s degree required. National certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf required.
Experience working with a diverse population preferred.
$75.00 per hour

Part time (as needed). Hourly rate: Flexible schedule to meet department needs. Some evening, weekends, and extended hours will be required. Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to all on and off campus sites as needed by the college. Employee must establish primary residency in New Jersey within one year of appointment unless an exemption applies.
