Job summary

LaSante Health Center is seeking an Ambulette Driver to support safe, timely transportation for patients in the New York area. You will operate ambulette buses, assist patients, and ensure cleanliness, safety, and HIPAA compliance while maintaining accurate trip logs.

The role requires a valid New York driver's license, a clean driving record, reliability, and the ability to work full-time with weekend/holiday availability. Prior bus or minibus experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid New York State driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Clean driving record with no license points.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional with consistent attendance.
• Prior experience operating a bus or minibus preferred.
• Proficiency with smartphones and mobile applications; basic Excel knowledge.
• Ability to work full-time schedules (40+ hours per week) and weekend/holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport disabled and mobility-limited members to and from medical appointments.
• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate assistance to members at all times.
• Operate ambulette buses safely and in accordance with laws and policies.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report safety concerns.
• Assist members with boarding/exiting and using mobility devices.
• Escort members to ensure safe transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and passenger areas.
• Adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Complete trip logs, inspection reports, and required documentation using mobile apps.
• Communicate schedules, delays, or member needs with dispatch and clinic staff.

LaSante Health Center is seeking a reliable and professional Ambulette Driver to support safe and timely transportation for patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate consistent punctuality, and a commitment to professionalism while ensuring quality service and patient safety. Weekday/Weekends/Holiday shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport disabled and mobility-limited members to and from medical appointments and approved destinations
• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate assistance to members at all times
• Operate ambulette buses in a safe, defensive, and reliable manner in accordance with traffic laws and organizational policies
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report mechanical or safety concerns
• Assist members with boarding and exiting the vehicle by safely operating vehicle lifts and securement systems and other mobility devices
• Escort members to and from the vehicle as needed to ensure safe transfers
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary condition of vehicles, including interior surfaces and passenger areas
• Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
• Accurately complete trip logs, inspection reports, and required documentation using mobile applications or electronic systems
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and clinic staff regarding schedules, delays, or member needs

Qualifications
