Job summary

The ideal candidate holds NJ RN licensure, has at least one year in a substance abuse facility, and communicates in English with Spanish language skills preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in New Jersey
• At least one year of experience in a substance abuse facility
• Spanish language skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Completes nursing assessment as component of intake evaluation.
• Monitors vital signs and indicators of withdrawal.
• Educates consumers on plan of care.
• Coordinates processing of laboratory specimens and review of findings.
• Implements medical interventions as prescribed by the physician.
• Dispenses medications and monitors response to pharmacological interventions.
• Functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Provides after-hours emergency on-call coverage on a rotational basis.
• Cross-trains for multiple RN needs.
• Maintains department compliance standards.
• Provides and coordinates consumer referrals to community health partners.
