Qualifications

• RN must have current and valid registration in New Jersey.
• Experience in addiction, mental health or corrections is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team with patients, families and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Caring and compassionate attitude toward individuals in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage evaluation and assessment of medical and psychiatric status.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate delivery of care.
• Delegate patient care to other health care team members.
• Use COWS/CIWA to assess withdrawal and document observations.
• Dispense medication per physician orders and maintain records.
• Monitor labs and notify provider of abnormal results.
• Assist with client examinations, care, and intakes as needed.
• Prepare and maintain medical records and ensure equipment availability.
• Conduct nursing education and wellness sessions for clients.
• Complete shift counts and ensure policy compliance.
• Pursue quality improvement and communicate with the treatment team.
