Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic RN - Vein Procedures at our Indian Creek Medical Pavilion. The RN provides direct patient care in ambulatory settings, using the nursing process and independent judgment to meet age-specific needs.

Responsibilities include performing preliminary assessments, evaluating complex cases, teaching patients and families, and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with valid multi-state license or single-state with multistate in progress
• BLS/Heartsaver certification required or to be obtained within 14 days of start
• Experience in ambulatory clinics or similar setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in ambulatory setting using nursing process
• Performs preliminary patient assessment via chart review and observation
• Evaluates complex cases and facilitates appropriate interventions
• Delivers education to patients and families and documents teaching
• Responds to patient treatment-related calls and coordinates with healthcare team
