Job summary

OU Health seeks an Operational Strategic Initiatives Specialist II - Ambulatory Transformations to drive end-to-end governance of ambulatory programs. You will establish standardized methodologies, manage scope, timelines, and budgets, and ensure timely decision-making with clinical, academic, and administrative stakeholders.

The role requires 3+ years in healthcare, a related bachelor’s degree, and PMP or Six Sigma certification within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
• At least 3 years experience in healthcare required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma Green Belt/GB II certification within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects from initiation through completion, including scope, work plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among clinical, academic, and administrative stakeholders.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests using governance processes.
• Monitor progress against milestones, KPIs, and outcomes; prepare executive status reports and dashboards.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, safety, patient experience, and financial performance.
• Coordinate internal and external resources, including vendors or consultants, as applicable.
• Ensure deliverables are feasible, compliant with healthcare regulations, and transitioned to operations.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leaders.
• Apply standardized project management tools and methodologies across initiatives.
• Support organizational change management and communication plans.
