Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health's Elliot Vascular Surgery group in Manchester, NH is seeking a Surgical Technician Ambulatory to support peri- and intraoperative care. You will help prepare the procedure room, manage supplies, assist the surgeon, and ensure accurate patient and procedure verification.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, active BLS, NH Surgical Technician Certification (or equivalent NH license), and OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate or student of an approved Surgical Technologist Program, or experience as a Surgical Technician is required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Surgical Technician Certification from the State of New Hampshire is required unless another NH license is held.
• Previous operating room surgical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability and preparedness of supplies and equipment for peri- and intraoperative processes.
• Prepare visit chart based on daily appointments and ensure records are accessible to the provider.
• Obtain, document, and process specimens using appropriate collection processes.
• Prepare the procedure room before the procedure.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians to acquire new equipment for procedures.
• Assist the proceduralist and procedure team to ensure correct patient and procedure; assist with transfers and draping, and pass instruments.
• Stand for prolonged periods.
• Maintain sterile technique during procedures.
• Uphold professional, respectful patient care and working environment through strong interpersonal communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
