Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is seeking an Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Associate, HSPA/CBSPD, for the Day Shift at the Manhasset ASC. The role requires knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterilization, and infection control, with responsibilities including maintenance of sterilization records and use of Sterrad systems.

Qualified candidates must hold HSPA Central Sterile Technician or CBSPD certification, and have experience with Sterrad equipment, washers, and instrument processing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follows proper procedure for biological monitoring of sterilizers and maintains records.
• Understands Sterrad Sterilization System usage and safety for instruments and equipment.
• Handles and processes contaminated instruments and equipment.
• Prepares surgical instruments and supplies for hospital services.
• Manages proper supply distribution and crash cart restock.
