Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville is seeking a dedicated RN for ambulatory surgery, FT days, with four 9-hour shifts (10:30–20:00). Eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and participation in the BJC RN Career Ladder. BSN differential and shift differential apply, with comprehensive benefits.

The OPS Center supports outpatient services with Magnet recognition and robust professional development. Preferred BSN, Med/Surg experience, and a valid RN license are required or encouraged.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's - Nursing.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree - Nursing.
• Licenses & Certifications: RN.
• Experience: No Experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including their values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
