Job summary

The Surgical Clinic in Middle Tennessee is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in an ambulatory service center. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care surrounding procedures, collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities include pre/post-procedure assessments, medication administration, documentation in the EHR, and patient education on post-care and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ambulatory surgery nursing practices, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills with proficiency in electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, communicate processes, and address questions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following safety protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses throughout care.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with interventions as required.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in the EHR.
