Job summary

Virtua Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care. The nurse will oversee patient care, delegate to the team as appropriate, and contribute to ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, 0–1 years’ experience (2–4 preferred) and an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred). The position is based in New Jersey with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure in New Jersey.
• Experience in nursing assessment and care planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient, develop plan of care, implement and evaluate.
• Administer, monitor and document prescribed therapies.
• Participate in clinical decision-making.
• Educate patient and family about disease, care needs, wellness and safety.
• Support and supervise junior nursing staff and team.
• Contribute to orientation and staff development.
• Engage in performance improvement activities.
