Job summary

Great North Surgery Center in Anchorage, AK, seeks an experienced Ambulatory RN to support perioperative and intraoperative patient care. You will assess patients, prepare for surgery, monitor vitals, and ensure safe discharge planning within a fast-paced ASC environment.

Under Clinical Leadership, you will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff to maintain sterile technique, document care, and promote patient safety.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required with active RN license in Alaska or eligible.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as required by ASC policy.
• Two years of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative and perioperative patient care in operating rooms and procedure rooms.
• Assess patients’ physical and psychosocial needs pre- and post-operatively; prepare for anesthesia and surgery.
• Monitor vitals and patient status; administer medications and IV fluids as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and comply with safety protocols.
• Document care accurately and communicate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff.
• Ensure smooth OR flow, transport patients as needed, and discharge planning.
