Job summary

Henry Ford Health's ambulatory surgery team in Jackson, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgery Center to coordinate and deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care.

You will lead the nursing process across Pre/Post Op, educate patients and families, delegate and document care, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure safe, efficient perioperative experiences in a busy ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• ADN with willingness to enroll in an accredited BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of start date.
• Current RN licensure by Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS or ACLS certification per Henry Ford Health policy.
• Ambulatory orientation completion may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate, quality patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and education.
• Delegate, supervise, and document nursing care and teaching for patients and families.
• Effectively communicate with the health care team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in ambulatory care.
