Job summary

South Texas Spine Hospital is seeking a Pre-Operative Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in an ambulatory surgery setting. You will prepare patients, coordinate pre-operative requirements, and support safe, efficient care throughout the pre-surgical process.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS credentials. You will collaborate with physicians and OR teams, manage medications, and ensure accurate documentation and

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and an active RN license.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Ability to provide comprehensive pre-operative nursing care.

Responsibilities

Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pre-operative patients.
Record and report symptoms, reactions, abnormalities, and changes in patients’ condition.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
Prepare pre-operative patients and coordinate requirements per policy.
Provide psychological support to patients and families.
Maintain compliance with safety guidelines and professional practice standards.
