Job summary

Saint Anthony Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Staff Nurse, Ambulatory to provide and coordinate patient care across the continuum. The RN will perform pre- and post-operative duties, assess patients, start IVs, educate families, and communicate with the surgical team.

The role requires IL RN licensure, CPR and ACLS/PALS within 6 months, strong teamwork, and computer skills. The position is full-time on-site with a day shift and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Associate’s in nursing; Bachelors preferred
• Current IL State RN licensure and CPR Certification
• Team and customer service skills
• Computer skills - windows and database systems
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
• ACLS, PALS, EKG monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, airway management are required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Pre-Operative duties: assess patients, start IV lines, and review consent/labs.
• Post-Operative duties: monitor recovery, manage pain, and discharge planning.
